Newsgroups.com Newsreader Tutorial

There are a few ways to access files and messages on Newsgroups Usenet System. The first is by using a program that connects to the server at a direct level and provides more flexibility and control. These program are called Newsreaders. Newsreaders connect to our backend servers and allow users to easily access Newsgroups and Articles posted to Usenet Newsgroups.

We've provided a tutorial on how to configure GrabIt with our system. GrabIt is a free newsreader developed and provided by Shemes.com. GrabIt has been in development for several years and has grown to become an outstanding newsreader with many features that were once only offered in paid newsreaders.

Grabit (Windows)
A cool little binary-oriented newsreader with a simple interface. Allows for multiple server connections and assignment of folders for each newsgroup to better manage your downloads. Does not include filters. Freeware
